Children 0-11

ASR: Climbers

We want children to have great fun whilst learning more about Jesus and meeting with Him

Sundays

Have you got children that you would like to bring to church?  They of course are very welcome and we run a specific programme of fun children's groups especially for them! We also run a creche at each service for pre-school children.

ASR: ABC

Our aim is to make sure every child can be themselves in a safe and welcoming environment. Our children's leaders are appointed through interview only, are DBS checked and have safeguarding training. We are committed to safeguarding children and our policy can be found here.

If you have any questions about the programmes or want to know more about bringing your children along on a Sunday then please contact the Vicar.

Junior Jivers followed by Stay and Play

Every Thursday morning during term time from 9.30am in the church.

ASR: ADAM

A music, dance and movement group for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers with a Christian ethos. Junior Jivers runs from 9.30am-10.15am followed by Stay and Play until 11am. There is always a warm welcome and relaxed atmosphere at Junior Jivers, with plenty of time to chat and make friends. And there are great refreshments - just come along to join in.

All Saints Youth Club

Young people in school years 4 to 6 meet every other Friday from 6.45pm-8.00pm during term time. We ask for £1.00 subs per session to contribute to the cost of the evening. It's a time for the young people to be with friends, join in a variety of activities and enjoy a snack. During the evening there will be a brief talk and chance to ask questions, to challenge and discuss what Christians believe.

ASR: Youth Club

A typical session begins with a starter activity followed by “Thinking Time” where we look at different bits of the bible. After a drink and a snack the rest of the evening is spent doing activities such as craft, games, challenges (such as can you drop an egg off the balcony without it breaking, followed by can you clean this egg up off the floor), movie making and circus skills.

Key information about the church...

Where & when does the church meet?

Our Church meets every Sunday at 11:00am for our Sunday Service. There is usually plenty of parking along Church Lane.

We meet at:
All Saints Church
Church Lane
Riseley
Bedfordshire
MK44 1ER

You can see a map on our contact us page.

What should I expect when I visit the church?

You will receive a very warm welcome. Our welcome team will answer your questions and direct you to where you need to go. Our services usually last about an hour. On the way in you will receive a service sheet which will help guide you through the service and includes everything you will need to know. Please let the welcome team know if you need a large print service sheet. Every Sunday we sing, pray and hear a talk explaining a passage from the Bible. Once a month we take communion during the service, this is usually on the fourth Sunday.

Tea, coffee and biscuits are served after the service where there is plenty of time to meet new people and ask more questions.

What happens to the children at church?

The first Sunday of the month is usually an All Age Service, designed to be accessible to people of all ages. On other Sundays we have fantastic children's groups for:

Scramblers (pre-school age children). Children under 6 months are welcome but must be accompanied by their parent/carer at all times.
Climbers (School year R-3)
Pathfinders (School years 4-9)

Children stay with their parents at the start of the service. Halfway through the service children are invited to go to their groups, which meet in different parts of the church building where they always have a lot of fun! Parents then collect their children at the end of the service. All leaders are DBS checked.

For more information about what happens in the children's work please visit the relevant age groups under church life or contact Sam Toseland our Children and Families Worker.

Is there a dress code?

No! Please just be yourself and come dressed in your 'normal' clothes.

Will I have to join in?

Not at all! You are free to simply observe or participate as much as feels comfortable for you.

Is there a toilet?

Yes!  We have a toilet with disabled access and baby changing facilities. Our welcome team will point you in the right direction.

I have more questions, how can I get in touch and ask them?

Please feel free to contact us.
